FLEXIBLE SEATING

In our classroom there are many different flexible seating options and work around the room areas. I believe that this is the best way to get students engaged with their learning while also giving them the choice to choose where they sit. Students will be able to use flexible seating routinely during independent work and group work. Different flexible seating choices include: bean bag chair, yoga balls, cushions, wobble seats, stools at work tables, and more. During the first few weeks we will go over and create flexible seating expectations that students will have to sign. This keeps the student accountable for knowing and following the expectations set for flexible seating choices.

Flexible seating expectations:

  • Find a smart seat that helps you do your BEST work.

  • Use your seat appropriately and correctly.

  • If a seat is not working for you, MOVE.

  • Ms. Daniels can move you at anytime if I see that seat is not working for you.
