Parent Communication Plan
Throughout the year I hope to have constant communication between you and I to be able to set up your student for success. I believe families have a huge role in their students education and I can't wait to embark on that journey with you. Communication is key and there will be many different types of communication in order to keep you as updated as possible on the growth of your student.
"The emphasis Vygotsky places on parents as partners in their child’s life is crucial as he believed that everything a child learns is through the interactions with “knowledgeable partners”." (Brooks, 2011).
Monthly Newsletter
At the end of each month, I will send out an update of the material that was covered that month as well as any important information for the upcoming month. I like to send these out monthly to have constant communication with parents as well as give materials from the month(anchor charts, study guides, and strategies) that parents can review with their students.
Open Communication
I want my classroom to be a place that thrives on open communication and communication that is available to all. If there is every anything that you need please do not hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I am here for your student as well as for you, as the parent. Happy to help in any way possible!
Quarter Conferences
At the end of each quarter I will host time slots to discuss your students growth as well as any testing data that we have received. I will be able to answer any major concerns you have for your student as well as give you more materials or strategies to specifically engage your student in different skills.
